The Hancock County Conservation League is a private sportsman's club near Findlay, Ohio promoting Conservation, Education and Recreation.
HIstory
The Hancock County Conservation League was Incorporated in 1929 with a purpose and organized for the conservation of all wildlife, dedicated to respect and promote the obedience of the state game laws which protect wildlife, and to respect the rights of landowners and farmers upon whose lands we are privileged to hunt.
Organized in 1929 by a group of hunters who were thinking of the future and who were the first in the state to restock the raccoon so future generations might partake in the exciting sport of night hunting with the hounds.
What now serves as the Hancock County Conservation League clubhouse started out as the Center Chapel Church. The church was originally located in Eagle Township, Hancock County, Ohio located on the corner of Township Road 179 and 168. Later the building was moved 1/4 mile east to its current location. We are a firearm and shooting club with a membership of approximately 130 families, all affiliated with the National Rifle Association.
